A little explanation about the Nokia OVI
Nokia's Ovi is Nokia Internet-based services. This service can be used in mobile phones, pc (computer) or via the web through ovi.com.
In this service Nokia to focus on five main areas of services, such as: games, music, media, messaging services and maps (maps). Ovi Nokia aims to include all third party services, such as services from carriers or other services like Yahoo that provides cooperation in social networking in the know with flickr.
History OVI
Ovi actually been announced in the communities on August 29, 2007 at the Go Play event in London. Own Ovi means "door", Ovi comes from Finnish language. Ovi beta was released on August 28, 2008.
Nokia had been obtained the key building blocks for Ovi. These include IP, patents and core components such as synchronization. Retrieved IP, patents including companies such as Starfish Software, Intellisync Navteq, Gate5, Plazes, and others. Other components have been developed internally.
On May 20, 2009 in which the 2.0 event in San Jose, CA, USA announces the release of Ovi Nokia Player Maps API, allowing web developers to embed Parameter Maps into a website using JavaScript.
